The
main focus at the WCG Brazil qualifier for most were the
Firegamers-MiBr matchups but now some are concerned there may have been
cheating at the LAN event.
Rarely
if ever in the history of CS has someone been found using cheats at a
competitive LAN tournament. Merely the presence of others who could
walk over and see the cheat in action would deter even the most
hardened of online cheaters. HLTV.org is
reporting
though that at the WCG Brazil qualifier the player Pedro "aSpx"
Slatovisk of team ECO.COBRA, who took 4th-5th at the event, is under
suspicion.
HLTV.org says:
"Despite being the team's captain, Slatovisk would
always sit at the end of the table, with his monitor facing the wall,
to prevent anyone from watching him. According to reports, he would get
really nervous every time someone tried to stay behind the team and
would demand their immediate leave."
